Most people have never heard of a Con Con or Constitutional Convention. The reason being there has only been one in our country and that was for the original ratification by the states of the Constitution we now hold so dear.

Freedom loving Americans have been pushing for many years to get the number of states needed to hold a con con and they are close to that goal of only needing two more.

The reality of the problem with a con con is that our current elected leaders who are moving us towards socialism would decide on what amendments would be added without a 2/3 majority in both houses that could utterly destroy our liberties and freedoms.

Those were the famous words said by Thomas Paine. I am not sure if they are still taught in public schools, but I do know many home schoolers know Paine's speech as well as the words of many other great patriots. I suppose that is what makes the home schoolers so dangerous. After all, knowledge is power.

Two million people marched in DC to stand up against some of the liberties being shred from the Constitution. Americans both liberal and conservative and those in between are sick and tired of government interference with their daily lives. They don't want to be forced into a health care system that will socialize medicine and ruin the quality care we now have. They do not want the government to have control of their medical records, access to their bank accounts, nor choose the health care they will receive.

Likewise, they are tired of the massive bailouts, they are tired of all of the unconstitutional czars and they are tired of legislators who will not stand up and represent them.

Americans want those who will abide by their oath of office, they want people who will not make empty promises and they want the government to keep it's intrusive nose, eyes and ears out of their daily lives.

I encourage all Americans who feel the same to stand up and take a stand. To become the Legislator they want to represent them or to get behind an unknown who will stand up for the people.

Do this in all levels of government and we can create the change and get our nation back to the principles by which it was founded and we wont have to wait on socialized medicine to kill those of us not worthy of receiving care.
