Apparantly in the State of Maryland it is illegal to videotape the police or anyone in public without their consent.

It seems that the legislators in Maryland had a good idea, prevent people from being videotaped without their permission.

This would make it easier to convict the freaks who like to take images of people in ways they dont like.

However it seems they left out the fact that Public officials and employees do not have the expectation of privacy.

While the guy acted like a buffoon and was driving like an idiot, he deservingly received his ticket, but tapping a police officer can benefit both officer and the person be subjected to any type of confrontation with an officer.

One has to wonder if the legislators made a mistake when creating this law or if they purposely made it so broad as a means to keep their faces off the likes of youtube and the local news when they are seen doing something wrong or illegal.

If the police can rightfully videotape criminals then the people should have the right to videotape the authorities and public officials, otherwise they have no incentives to behave accordingly because after all any video made without their consent could be confiscated before it is made public.

The people of Maryland should stand up and tell their legislators that this legislation needs to change.

Joe Sestak has admitted that the White House has offered him a job to stay out of the Senatorial primary, but neither he nor the White House will come clean with the details.

The people of PA and the US have the right to know about the secretive deals coming out of the Obama administration. We want to know what our representatives were promised when they supported obamacare and the bailouts.

I am sure that this tactic isn't new, but We the people expect to be represented by our legislators and not have them sellout to the highest bidder for them to increase their personal gain.

Rest assured Americans do not care about the party affiliation, what they do care about is the integrity of our legislature.

Those in DC both Democrats and Republicans are being sent home as a result of these types of deals and as a result or simply ignoring the will of the people.

The primaries are just the beginning of the change that is reshaping our political culture. The November elections will bring forth even further change. Those members of the Senate who are not up for re-0election until 2012 and have ignored our voices, should start looking for new employment now.

The Wall Street Reform Bill vote on Thursday was missing one of the most auspicious members of the Senate. Sources in Washington have revealed that absent from the vote was Senator Robert Byrd.

“We thought maybe someone forgot to bring him out from the cloak room before the vote,” commented one White House reporter.

However, after an exhaustive search of the Congressional grounds most concluded that Byrd had decided to start his weekend a bit early.

We caught up with him at the villa he rents in Mexico. “I just couldn’t sit through another one of those votes,” Byrd said as he sipped on a Margarita. “Besides these weekends are what has kept me going for the past fifty year’s in Congress.”

H.R. 4173 (Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2009 )easily passed the Senate without Senator Byrd's or Senator Arlen Specter.

Republican Senators Brown (R-MA), Grassley (R-IA)& Snowe (R-ME), hopeful not to be thrown by the wayside voted to support the Legislation that will do nothing to prevent future bailouts of financial institutions, but only increases federal control.

Some are speculating that Senator Specter still upset that his party threw him out on his backside during the Senatorial primaries, may have jumped on the same plane with Senator Bryd. So far, we have yet to confirm that report.

Upon further investigation we have learned that a law was quietly passed in 1999 allowing Byrd to receive vacations every weekend for the rest of his life, paid for by our taxpayer dollars. Perhaps the secret to Byrd’s longevity in Congress is due to something special in the water here. Now only one question remains, where will Byrdie spend Memorial Day Weekend?

The people are specking and the incumbents are falling. Well actully they fell when they stopped listening to the people who voted them in and only heard those special interest groups with the deep pockets whispering sweet nothings and the promises of a lifetime seat.

Clearly the incumbents fell for it hook line and sinker. They decided to piss on the Constitution and trample the rights of American people and now the people are speaking up with their ballots.

"Enough already" has been the mantra of people on both sides of the seat. The constitutionalists hand Libertarians have been shouting this to deaf ears long before the bailouts and the HCR control bill, but more Americans are waking up.

The American people do not care how long you have been in office and what seniority you have in the Senate or House, if you ignored them, they are voting you out and hiring those who will pay attention.

It looks like America's political face is about to get an extreme makeover and it will not be just Republicans or just Democrats controlling the legislator. Nope Americans are going to see candidates who are liberty minded individuals who want less government intrusion and more accountability.

The time is now.

* Direct subsidies
* Tax breaks and tax penalties
* Liability limits, but also potential fines if you don't do things just right

* For oil companies to pay all the costs and carry all the potential risks of each drilling project
* To have all of these costs and risks reflected in the prices consumers pay, rather than hidden in legislation and regulations

In other words, there should be . . .

* No subsidies or special tax breaks
* No liability limits
* No tax-funded bailouts, or government run clean-up funds
* And regulations should be provided by insurance companies who are putting their own money at risk

The BP oil spill is another example of the destructive nature of government guarantees and bailouts.

I know that BP has agreed to pay more of the clean-up costs, beyond the government-provided liability cap. I also know that they've been threatened by Congress and the Administration if they don't. But this is hypocritical, because Congress created the liability cap and the clean up fund in the first place! In 1990, Congress passed a law that . . .

* capped oil company liability for spills at $75 million
* set up a fund, paid for by the oil companies, to pay for the rest of the clean-up

In effect, this is a government-run oil spill insurance program, but without the risk management incentives provided by real insurance companies. This whole scheme was a terrible idea from the start, and has been used to bail out companies that cause oil spills a whopping 51 times! http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/02/us/02liability.html
Because of the liability cap, BP may have been less cautious than it would have been if its own money had been at risk.

In addition, a lack of regulation has been blamed for the BP spill. But government regulators . . .

* don't have the profit and loss incentive that private insurance companies do; they don't go out of business for their mistakes
* tend to impose one-size-fits all rules that don't work as well as the site-specific requirements that insurance companies impose

But imagine if we had a free market in energy . . .

* Oil companies would be liable for ALL the damage they cause
* And this would compel them to seek liability insurance in the private market

In turn, insurance companies would . . .

* demand the strictest standards to prevent accidents and spills because, unlike government regulators, they would be financially responsible for any mishaps
* and, if the risks are too great, they would deny coverage

If off-shore drilling is too risky, that means no one in a free market will invest in it, and entrepreneurs would then have a huge incentive to develop less-risky energy alternatives. This would be a good thing! This is what you politicians claim to want!

This means that a true free market in energy would actually reduce accidents and CREATE A CLEANER ENVIRONMENT.

I therefore demand that you put an end to government meddling in energy production.

1) Instead of raising the liability cap for oil spills, remove all government liability caps on all forms of energy production
2) Instead of inefficient and counter-productive government regulations, allow private insurance to set requirements for off-shore oil drilling and other forms of energy production, such as nuclear, which is also currently protected by government liability limits
3) Get rid of all subsidies, tax breaks, and tax penalties so that we can benefit from free and fair competition among all energy producers

Once these three market-based policies are in place, energy companies will bear the true capital expense of their projects -- instead of the taxpayers. Risky and dangerous projects will flop. But profitable projects should be allowed to proceed -- including drilling for oil.

One day, you hear a loud knock on your front door.

But it's not a neighbor visiting or someone trying to sell you a subscription.

Instead, it's a federal agent -- the federal government's newest threat to your liberty coming to check your household appliances . . . your light bulbs . . . your thermostat . . . and this is NO JOKE.

But should Cap and Tax pass, what I just described could be EXACTLY what you and I see in home after home, town after town all across our country -- along with skyrocketing home electric and heating prices.

And don't think for a second they won't send around federal jackboots to make sure you're complying.

In fact, the Cap and Tax Bill SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZES just such intrusive home visits by government snoops.

And combine that with the expanded power of jackbooted federal thugs under the so-called Patriot Act (which was recently reauthorized), and you have a recipe for Americans, for the first time in our memory, not being safe and secure in their own homes.

Of course, that's bad enough. But just like the recently passed nationalized health care mandate, Cap and Tax is just another excuse for Big Government to reach its greedy little hands into our wallets.

If passed, Cap and Tax would:

*** Increase taxes by $650 BILLION, virtually guaranteeing that our economy gets even worse and NEVER recovers;

*** Result in over ONE MILLION lost American jobs per year, as energy-intensive industries are forced to shut their doors or move overseas;

*** Allow Big Government politicians to decide which businesses get taxpayer subsidies and which ones are shut down, virtually guaranteeing massive corruption on a scale we've never seen before in the United States.

And don't believe the lies. This bill has nothing to do with the environment.

In fact, the best experts agree Cap and Tax will have almost zero impact on the environment anyway -- except, of course, for lost jobs, higher taxes, and blighted small towns and rural communities.

So what is Cap and Tax really about?

Raw government POWER.

Government POWER to tax.

Government POWER to enter your home to "check for compliance."

And government POWER to control the economy, our lives and our freedom.

Just take a look at Spain -- the Cap-and-Taxers' "shining" example of an eco-socialist paradise.

There, unemployment is approaching 20% and rising.

And what about all those new "green" jobs Cap and Tax apologists are claiming will be generated?

In Spain, for every new "green" job created (at a taxpayer cost of $800,000, EACH mind you), 2.2 economically-productive jobs are destroyed!

The fact is, passage of Cap and Tax could send our economy nose-diving off a cliff!

So it's never been more important that you act TODAY.

The good news is, Campaign for Liberty has a plan to fight back.

They're nervous because they see the anger in the eyes of the voters. They know they rammed through a health care bill opposed by over 60% of Americans.

They know they passed a huge tax increase.

They know they've added trillions to our exploding national debt.

And these senators are nervous because they know that so far freedom-loving folks like you have fought back against other freedom-grabbing schemes – and are making real progress in our fight to reign in the out-of-control Fed.

They're nervous because we've exposed their assaults on our liberty.

So now, in this latest fight, many senators are riding the fence.

They're afraid of what YOU'LL do to them if they vote to ram Cap and Tax into law.

Unbelievable, Kerry & Lieberman introduce Cap & Trade today

File this bill under Bad Bills & Ideas That Just Won't Die. (There are so many, one cannot get to them all.) Today, Senator Kerry and Lieberman are introducing Cap and Trade to the U.S. Senate. You know, the bill that all pronounced dead earlier this year--the one that didn't have a chance of passage this year. But you see, the issue is NOT capping carbon emissions to save the planet from Global Warming, the issue is taxing you more and controlling your life.

"The Senate bill would set up an emission trading program for utilities starting in 2013. Factories and other “industrial sources” would join the cap-and-trade program in 2016."

The bill proposes cutting greenhouse gases by 17% below their 2005 levels in 10 years. Never mind that CO2 has since been shown to have no affect on warming and that the planet has not been warming in the past 10 years.

Never mind that those involved in the Carbon Exchange, like U.W. Madison Prof. Joel Rogers admit that "it is all about the money and if we stopped ALL emissions in the U.S., it would make absolutely no difference". (My Emphasis throughout post)

It is estimated that this legislation will cost the average U.S. homeowner an extra $600 - $1,000/year on their utility bills. Wisconsin will be hit harder because so much of our electricity comes from coal fired plants.

This type of Cap and Trade legislation has already proven itself to be useless in controlling CO2 emissions and detrimental to the economies of Europe. You know, Europe, that is having their own economic woes?

Chris Horner from National Review sums this bill up as an opportunity to transfer wealth. He also points to the devastating effect of carbon taxing on Europe's economy: "I have a take on the lesson for us from Europe amid this debate over at Energy Tribune, written over the weekend but consistent with an emerging meme: we are willfully rushing headlong into the same debt, through the very same mandates, that has broken Europe. The system doesn’t work. And our political class doesn’t care. They’ve got a fundamental transformation to impose — as I describe in Power Grab. It’s not too late to learn their plan and their tricks."

In another piece from Energy Tribune, Today's Greece, Tomorrow's America: How Obama's Health Care and Energy Agendas Really End: "The most troubling aspect of the West’s current policy turmoil is not the European meltdown led by Greece and Spain. It is instead President Barack Obama’s unflinching insistence on rushing America headlong into the very mandates, and resulting debt levels, that precipitated that meltdown."

"Obama is scripting a repeat of Europe’s disaster, here, by cramming down on the American people the same policy fetishes our Left has obsessed about for decades, and which Europe used to bring this down upon itself: statist management of health care and energy."

Our U.S. economy is hanging on by a thread. The CBO just came out with the report that ObamaCare could cost twice as much as originally thought: CBO Doubles Some Health Care Spending Estimates. Now our Senate is poised on adding another economy/job killer bill?

The House version knew Cap and Trade would adversely affect our economy. It even "included two years of unemployment assistance for workers who lose their jobs as a result of this 'jobs bill.' "

Obama has had his share of picks since he was sworn in and many of those have been extremely questionable. If you have paid attention to politics over the past several years, then you should know who they are.

His first supreme court pick was Sonya Sotomayor who said she could do the job better than any gray haired white man, but of course that wasn't construed as racist.

Now, he is picking someone who appears to in favor of socialist politics and is opposed to the 'don't ask don't tell' policy of the US armed forces claiming it is a "Moral injustice."

CBS News reported that she would be the first openly gay supreme court justice if she is nominated. The Obama administration has refuted that story, so who knows and who cares. She already has a bias towards those who have chosen the homosexual lifestyle as Sotomayor has made remarks against those who are Caucasians.

The simple fact that Elena Kagan has not one minute of experience as a judge should be enough to disqualify her for the bench of the highest court of the Land. Years of experience and insight are needed to rule on cases that go before the Supreme Court and like most Americans I simply don't believe she qualifies.

Obama is great at picking people, but he seems much more qualified at picking his nose.

* Whether or not you can cash a check, or buy guns or alcohol
* What kind of healthcare you receive
* How long you'll stand in line at the DMV, and whether you can have a license
* Whether or not you can be stopped on our streets, and even detained, for failure to display your card
* And many other aspects of your life

This total control will be made possible by a national identification system that was put in place in order to control immigration. But it will really control YOU!

In this way, immigration control and registration is just like gun control and registration -- it most deeply affects law-abiding citizens.

Remember where you heard this . . .

The immigration debate is NOT about what Mexicans will be allowed to do, IT'S about what YOU will be allowed to do. It's about YOUR freedom . . .

* First the politicians wanted to curtail your freedom to protect you from terrorists
* Now they want to curtail your freedom to protect you from Mexicans

Remember where you heard this . . .

The immigration debate is a scam. It's fear-mongering, foisted by busy-bodies of all varieties. The result will be Bigger Government in Washington, DC. It will control YOU. And now, it's up to YOU to decide . . .

Are you afraid of terrorists and Mexicans? ...or whatever hobgoblin the Big Government Fearmongers will conjure next?

Will you be free and brave, or dependent and cowardly? Will you trade YOUR FREEDOM for a false promise of protection?

We the people of this great nation are tired of excuses. We are constantly hearing lackluster reasons why we need legislation that we do not want. We constantly here them try to justify taking away our liberties, but Americans are tired of excuses.

Most Americans want to see action taken, they want legislators who will stand against legislation that is unconstitutional. They want legislators who will be the lone wolf if necessary and be the voice of reason during heated debate.

The time for excuses is done, the time for results is now. Americans are already rallying behind those who are running against incumbents. Americans will show their disdain for the lack of representation in the mid term elections as well as the presidential elections.

Americans will start voting in favor of more third party candidates and true conservatives who will not vote according to the will of their party but vote for the will of the people and in accordance to the Constitution.

The United States will see an immense change over the next few years. Let us all use due diligence and learn as much about each candidate as possible before we support any of them.
