Elections are Over but the Battle to Victory is Ongoing

I was as elated to see so many smug Democrats and a few Republicans loose their seats as the Americans who went out and voted Tuesday.

However, being the realist that I am, we still have many of the same incumbents in office who helped get our nation to where it is today.

Obamacare and the National health care database legislation should be on the forefront of legislation that is repealed.

We don't need it changed, we need it removed from the books period.

The American people also need their rights returned. So while the newly elected Republicans are talking so highly of the Constitution and patriotic Americans, they need to take a deep look at Legislation that has been passed since 2001.

One such republican will be the New Speaker of the House.

You get the point. He spoke big about Freedoms, Liberty, the Constitution and being Patriotic when in reality he has not done much to protect or preserve them.

Legislation, such as the Patriot Act, Real ID, military Commissions Act and the like. Americans are tired of elected representatives ignoring their oath of office.

It is up to We the People to keep a close eye on those officials and make certain that they do the job they were elected to do or we throw them out as well.

No more excuses, you have control of the House and if Obama does not bend to the Will of the people, he too will be looking for a job in 2012 just like Republican Herbert Hoover did in 1932.

We know the Democrats will not work to preserve our Liberties, RINO's are no different. If the Republicans cannot get back to their conservative roots, then we may just need to replace both parties with individuals who are willing to step up and do the job they were elected to do.

Vote for the Constitution on Election Day

The candidates are starting to get it. I have heard so many political ads that speak about the Constitution. My hope and prayer is that this is not just campaign rhetoric and these people will actually stick to their word.

RINO's and Liberal Democrats could care less about the Constitution, they have proved that over the last 20 years. But things need to change and Americans want it done right.

Americans do not want health care mandates, they want access to health care without being forced to a system that is more expensive and provides less service and they certainly do not want a panel deciding on what care is best for them based on all their medical history that is in a national database. They want to make that decision with their doctors and family members.

Americans are tired of the back and forth between Republicans and Democrats who look nearly identical in all they do when it comes to overspending and government control of our liberties.

If you haven't considered members of the Constitution Party, you may want to. They have a platform that nearly anyone who calls themselves a member of the Tea Party would be proud.

Get out there and vote but stop putting up with the same incumbents on both sides who refuse to stand up for you, their constituents, the one they are supposed to represent but refuse to do so.

Remember voting for the lessor of two evils is still voting for evil.

Keep an eye on those that do get elected. Make sure that they are doing their jobs of representation and if not, VOTE THEM OUT or RUN Against them.

Americans will speak loud and clear to the RINOS and Obama Democrats tomorrow. Lets hope the message gets through.

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:28 (KJV)

GOA representatives are traveling coast-to-coast to discuss the differences between candidates running for office.

GOA's Political Victory Fund has already issued scores of alerts, endorsements and contributions in important elections that will take place next week. You can go to to see the highlights of these races.

GOA representatives are appearing at press conferences or rallies in several states. While the following are just the tip of the iceberg, they represent the type of work that GOA is doing:

* Arizona, Dist. 1 -- Paul Gosar (A rated) vs. Ann Kirkpatrick (C rated)

* Colorado, Dist. 3 -- Scott Tipton (A rated) vs. John Salazar (D rated)

* Florida, Dist. 2 -- Steve Southerland (A- rated) vs. Allen Boyd (D rated)

* Georgia, Dist. 2 -- Mike Keown (A- rated) vs. Sanford Bishop (C- rated)

* Michigan, Dist. 7 -- Tim Walberg (A rated) vs. Mark Schauer (D rated)

* Minnesota, Dist. 8 -- Chip Cravaack (A rated) vs. Jim Oberstar (D rated)

* Missouri, Dist. 4 -- Vicky Hartzler (A rated) vs. Ike Skelton (C rated)

* New Mexico, Dist. 1 -- Jon Barela (A rated) vs. Martin Heinrich (D rated)
New Mexico, Dist. 2 -- Steve Pearce (A rated) vs. Harry Teague (C rated)
New Mexico, Dist. 3 -- Tom Mullins (A rated) vs. Ben Ray Lujan (F rated)

* Pennsylvania, Dist. 11 -- Lou Barletta (A rated) vs. Paul Kanjorski (D rated)
Pennsylvania, Dist. 12 -- Tim Burns (A rated) vs. Mark Critz (NR)

* Virginia, Dist. 9 -- Morgan Griffith (A rated) vs. Rick Boucher (C rated)

* Washington, Dist. 2 -- John Koster (A rated) vs. Rick Larsen (F rated)

Many of the above races involve Blue Dog Democrats who are trying to portray themselves as solid defenders of the Second Amendment, but their current grades seem to reveal they are nothing more than Pelosi puppets.

You can go to this link to see a bigger list of Blue Dogs who have been working to prop up Pelosi.

The GOA representatives who will be traveling this week include Vice-Chairman Tim Macy, Executive Director Larry Pratt, Director of Federal Affairs John Velleco, and Director of Communications Erich Pratt.

What is Really Going on with the Foreclosures?

The Banks, like Bank of America, JP Morgan and others are stopping the foreclosures of hundreds of thousands across the country.

Some of the banks have been found to have hired homeless people, laid off waitresses and the like to sign off on the mortgages without proper training to ensure that the paperwork was all done properly.

People who were being foreclosed on were starting to challenge their foreclosures by making the banks prove they actually owned the title to the home they were foreclosing on.

Because most banks and mortgage companies trade or sell off titles, they had a hard time of proving ownership and in many cases the home owners were able to prevent their home from being foreclosed.

But are the banks themselves stopping the foreclosures under the guise of checking the paperwork or are they doing what they can to prevent a huge inventory of empty houses hitting the the already saturated housing market?

Obviously flooding the market with more homes would decrease the value of those homes and lower the prices. The banks would stand loosing billions.

In 2009, Bank of American sad "We do not hold foreclosed properties off the market." In that same year we read about a "Shadow Inventory" of homes that the banks refused to put on the market.

In January 2010, "Bank of America to release homes into the Nevada housing market..It's part of the so-called "phantom inventory" of foreclosed homes being held by banks as they work out loan modifications and negotiate short sales."

This appears to be a manipulation of the housing market and should be investigated. Yes, investigate their sloppy paperwork and give justice to those who have had their homes unjustly foreclosed, but also investigate the banks and mortgage companies themselves from what could be nothing more than a price manipulation scheme.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4 (KJV)

Unfunded Mandates: Three Things No One Else Is Telling You

Quote of the Day: "Things in our country run in spite of the government, not by the aid of it." -- Will Rogers (1879-1935) American humorist

Unelected federal bureaucrats are forcing New York City to spend $27 million to replace their street signs. Our bureaucratic overlords maintain that streets signs must contain both upper and lower case letters, instead of just capital letters! Do you feel grateful that you're being protected from upper case streets signs?

This dictatorial mandate comes from the Federal Highway Administration, and applies to every community in America, not just New York City.

But don't blame this outrage on the busy-body Democrats. This isn't an Obama directive. The rule was actually promulgated back in 2003 -- during the Bush Administration.

Regardless of which party rules, very little is done to stop unfunded mandates or bureaucratic law-making. The problem is, Republicans have been promising to get rid of unfunded mandates since their so-called "Contract With America" way back in 1994!

The GOP controlled Congress and the White House for 6 years, but did exactly nothing to honor their promise.

This shows why we must remain committed to principles, not parties or politicians.

Now, here is what can be done about unfunded mandates, and you'll only read these next two ideas HERE, in the Downsizer-Dispatch.

First, New York City could tell the feds to, "Go to hell." City officials swore an oath to the Constitution too. They've read the highest law in the land. They know this is wrong.

That would be called, "nullification." To help promote this idea, Downsize DC President Jim Babka spoke at the Nullify Now! Conference in Orlando on October 10. There will also be two other opportunities to see (and meet) him this weekend. You can see the details here.

Second, if a single sitting GOP member of Congress was serious about fixing unfunded mandates imposed by un-elected bureaucrats, then he or she could sponsor's Write the Laws Act.

There are candidates who've pledged to do this, and you can read their names here.

But no incumbent member of Congress has yet stepped forward to introduce this powerful bill which would restore ALL legislative power to the House and Senate, and deny any legislative power to the Executive Branch, just as the Founders intended.

The Republicans tell us they believe in small government and the Constitution, but if that were really true they would introduce this bill.

Allowing bureaucrats to issue dictates that have the force of law amounts to legislation without representation. How un-Constitutional is that? How un-American? How hypocritical, especially for GOP members?

Please send a letter demanding that your representatives introduce and support the Write the Laws Act.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

The FHWA is requiring street signs nationwide be replaced so that, for example, MAIN ST becomes Main St. Fonts must also be standardized. This underscores the need for the WTLA . . .

* This FHWA dictate is an unfunded mandate imposed by unelected bureaucrats on cash-strapped local governments, which means
* My state and local governments must pay for these changes by taxing me, even though we weren't represented in this ruling

I demand you do two things:

* Repeal the FHWA street sign requirement and return all powers of traffic control and safety to the states, exactly as the Tenth Amendment requires
* Introduce the Write the Laws Act so that Congress alone will write our laws and regulations, as the Constitution also requires

If you claim you want smaller, less-intrusive, common-sense government, then show me you really mean it by introducing DownsizeDC's Write the Laws Act.

You can send your letter using's Educate the Powerful System.

The Godly Father

The Godly Father

Joshua 24:14-18

The idea for creating a day for children to honor their fathers began in Spokane, Washington. A woman by the name of Sonora Smart Dodd thought of the idea for Father’s Day while listening to a Mother’s Day sermon in 1909. Having been raised by her father, after her mother died, Sonora wanted her father to know how special he was to her. It was her father that made all the parental sacrifices and was, in the eyes of his daughter, a courageous, selfless, and loving man. Her father was born in June, so she chose to hold the first Father’s Day celebration in Spokane, Washington on the 19th of June, 1910. In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. Roses are the Father’s Day flowers: red to be worn for a living father and white if the father has died.

One time a little boy was asked to define Father’s Day and he said, “Its just like Mother’s Day, only you don’t spend as much on the present.”

The greatest number of long distance phone calls are made on Mother’s Day; the largest number of collect calls are made on Father’s Day!

WE COULD GO TO MANY PLACES IN THE BIBLE for an example of a godly father. One such is without a doubt, JOSHUA.

At the age of 110, he summoned the leaders of Israel to Shechem for a farewell address. He charged them to obey the Lord who had fought for them and given them an inheritance. He warned them of the danger of apostasy, saying, “Choose you this day whom you will serve….”

He chose the perfect setting, because Shechem was alive with sacred memories: Abraham’s altar, Jacob’s well, 25 years earlier, a tremendous dedication service had taken place here.

As Joshua spoke, he did so with authority of experience, for he had walked with Moses for 40 years and led Israel into the conquest of Canaan for another 25 years.

He reinforced his appeal with the POWER of a GOOD EXAMPLE. “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

There are alot of things we could say about Joshua, but for the sake of time I want to mention just two—two qualities that he possessed that all fathers would do well to emulate.

I. Priest of the Home

A. He acknowledged his responsibility for the spiritual life of his family. He spoke for his family; he declared their intent.

(1) A priest cannot function unless he is in close contact with God.
(2) According to the Bible, the family was designed to be the basic educational unit (Deut. 6:6-9; 11:18; Eph.6:4).
It is the father’s duty, then, to make sure his children know how to be saved and how to walk in the ways of the Lord.

(3) The greatest thing a father can pass on to his children is the
love of God. We all know that love begets love. In chapter 3, verse 11, Joshua urges Israel to make love of God their special aim.

B. The family will usually follow the parent, especially the father.

Someone has said, “A boy loves his mother, but will follow his father."

Some months ago I heard a touching story about a humble, consecrated pastor whose young son had become very ill. After the boy had undergone an exhaustive series of tests, the father was told the shocking news that his son had a terminal illness. The boy had accepted Christ as his Savior, so the minister knew that death would usher him into Glory; but he wondered how to tell his son that he soon would die. After earnestly seeking the direction of the Holy Spirit, he went with a heavy heart through the hospital ward to the boy’s bedside. First he read a passage of Scripture and had a time of prayer with his dear child. Then he gently told him that the doctors could promise him only a few more days to live. "Are you afraid to meet Jesus, my son?" asked his father. Blinking away a few tears, the little fellow said bravely, "No, not if He’s like you, Dad!"
C. As priest of the home, the godly father is also a man of prayer. He goes to God often on behalf of his family, asking for wisdom and courage for himself, and protection for his wife and children. Job is an example: “Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, ‘Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.’ This was Job’s regular custom” (Job 1:5).

The second quality that Joshua possessed is that he had a….

II. Plan for the Family

Being priest of the family is not enough. The godly father must also have a plan for the spiritual life of his loved ones. Joshua said, “…we will serve the Lord.”

A. We must strive with God’s help for family unity.
When Joshua spoke his voice rang with the sound of unity: “me and my house.” There was togetherness. And I believe that the reason that unity was there was due to his godly character, his example. His faith was genuine, authentic and as a result his family said, in essence, “Whatever you say, dad, we will agree.”

When marriage vows are kept, and the couple is devoted both to the Lord and to each other, there is no more powerful statement of family unity.

B. When the family is united, it will endure the trials that come its way. Joshua pressed a godly determination to persevere with his family. He was prepared to stand alone with his family if necessary.

Will the National Healthcare Database be Repealed with ObamaCare?

Most Liberals and Conservatives agree, Obamacare sucks, will cost too much money and is not what America needs. The Republicans say they will get ObamaCare Repealed?

Let's humor ourselves for a moment and say the Republicans keep their campaign promises and are successful at repealing ObamaCare.

Many Americans don't even know about the National HealthCare Database that was passed with Obama's job creation stimulus package that has also proved to be a waste of taxpayer dollars.

The National HealthCare Database requires all medical providers to input all patient data into the massive database beast by 2014.

That means all information about you from birth to death will be included in this database.

Of course, most people know by now that their is no such thing as a secure database. has been compiling data breaches since 2005 the same year that Real ID was passed and as of today 510,584,595 RECORDS BREACHED from 1,767 DATA BREACHES made public since 2005. These are only the breaches that were made public! God only knows how many went unreported. Places that were breached include, banks, schools, colleges, DMV's, healthcare facilities, DOD, Pentagon, congressional computers, Veterans Hospitals and the like.

Health records have always been something Americans have believed they had the right to keep private. We supposedly have laws that protect them.

We even have that little document called the US Constitution. Here is the Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

There may be things in your medical history you don't care that anyone knows, there may be some embarrassing medical history. Or you may just think its no ones business except you and your doctor and perhaps your loved ones.

If you don't want your medical history to be in the database, their is no opt out option, the only option you have is to not go to the doctor, dentist, optometrist or any other healthcare provider. I suppose if enough Americans did that and died as a result it would help reduce the costs of Obamacare.

We all know that government bureaucrats and not doctors will be looking at our health history and determining what care we will or will not be getting under ObamaCare.

If Obamacare is repealed then so should the National healthcare database.

Be sure to make this an issue with those running for office before you vote in November. REPEAL National HealthCare Database with ObamaCare.

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Psalms 63:7 (KJV)

Government Snooping in Your Trash

Somebody could be snooping in your trash . . . and you're paying for it!

In a growing number of cities across the U.S., local governments are placing computer chips in recycling bins to collect data on refuse disposal, and then fining residents who don't participate in recycling efforts and forcing others into educational programs meant to instill respect for the environment.

In at least one city, Dayton, Ohio, this invasion of your privacy is paid for by federal "Stimulus" funds.

Worse, there is evidence that recycling programs actually HARM the environment

Dayton's recycling subsidy is just one of thousands of examples of misspent Stimulus funds, and another piece of evidence that the Stimulus should never have passed.

So please send another letter telling Congress to rescind all remaining Stimulus funds using's Cut Spending Campaign.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

The Stimulus was advertised as putting money in "shovel-ready" projects that would create jobs. But it is a gigantic waste and you must rescind all remaining funds.

For example: $500,000 went to the city of Dayton, Ohio to snoop in people's garbage and rearrange trash bins!

This isn't job creation, it's social engineering.

Dayton's trash disposal policy is Dayton's concern, not mine or yours. The Constitution does not authorize the federal government to give aid to states or cities, which means federal funding of this program violates the Tenth Amendment.

There are 99 similarly wasteful projects listed in a report by Sens. McCain and Coburn that you should read.

I resent my dollars paying for projects like these. Rescind the Stimulus!

You can send your letter through's Educate the Powerful System

And if you are as outraged by government waste as we are, please forward this to friends and "like" our Facebook page.

More Victories in the Fight to Preserve Liberties

Quote of the Day: "Perseverance is more prevailing than violence; and many things which cannot be overcome when they are together, yield themselves up when taken little by little." -- Plutarch (c.45-125 A.D.)

There's a good chance we've defeated the cumbersome food safety bill. "The Hill" reports that Congressional leaders pulled the bill even though they had the votes to pass it.

Now why on earth would they do that? It's because . . .

Pressure works!

We and our allies stirred up enough dust to make the politicians nervous about passing this bill before the election. And they'll no longer have the votes once the people fire the Democratic majority. The final danger is that the Dems will try to force it through during a lame-duck session. We'll have to be on guard against that. Meanwhile . . .

We can celebrate another success.

Plus, in other good news . . .

Rand Paul invokes "reading the bills," and "downsizing the government" in his latest TV commercial.

And, I'll be traveling through Florida next week, promoting Downsize DC, and speaking at the NullifyNow conference

This last item has forced a change in our work schedule. We're going to have to delay, by one week, showing you the new home page for the new website for the Downsize DC Foundation, which is the educational arm of Downsize DC. Meanwhile . . .

There are bills to pay, and we've only sent one fundraising message all month. We got our head above water with the assistance we received in August when we had to shut down for a day, but we want to keep it that way. Today is the first day of October. Can you help close out September by making a contribution, or starting a monthly pledge?

Thanks in advance for your help, and have a good weekend.

Stimulus Funds Used to Chip Children

It is clear that the Stimulus failed to curb unemployment. Even worse is how the money is being spent. The letter below illustrates just one place where your dollars are being misused.

That's why we're asking you to tell Congress to rescind all remaining Stimulus funds.

Our hard-wired letter says simply "Please cut federal spending."

In addition to this you may borrow from or copy these additional comments . . .

Specifically, please rescind all remaining stimulus funds. It adds to the national debt but has not reduced unemployment.

Even worse is how the money is being spent.

For instance, the stimulus paid for RFID chips implanted in jerseys that Head Start preschoolers are required to wear in Richmond, CA. This Orwellian precedent scares me!

* RFID is an unproven technology vulnerable to hacking - actually making children less safe from kidnappers
* It's unknown how much private data is being collected, and for how long it will be kept, meaning . .
* It's an assault on the privacy and dignity of these children and their low-income parents.

I know this program was not specifically mentioned in the Stimulus bill. That's the problem: even if you had read the bill, you wouldn't have known about this.

That's why you should rescind all remaining stimulus funds. Don't steal taxpayer money if you don't even know how it is being spent.

You can send your letter using's Educate the Powerful System.
