The Untied States was created out of the necessity to Live Free. The Founding Fathers asserted this in the Declaration of Independence and in the US Constitution.

The role of our government is to be limited and as un-intrusive as possible. But since the Civil War and the attack of 9/11, it seems that our legislators have forgotten this role.

There are some who declare those who decry their votes and actions as terrorists.

People who spoke up at town hall meetings during the Health Care debate, people who spoke up against national id cards, warrantless spying, the Patriot Act, military commissions act and the like are deemed a threat?

Why because they take the role of the government seriously as outlined on our Constitution? Isn't the role of the legislators to uphold, defend and protect that very document? Dint they swear an other to do so? If they refuse to do so, what does that make them?
