Have Americans Had Enough?

National ID card,,The Patriot Act, Military Commissions Act, Eminent Domain, Warentless wiretapping, Warentless GPS tracking, National Helathcare, Out of control spending, out of control politician, bailouts, TSA groping and looking at nude passengers, the elderly, handicapped, and your children and the list goes on and on.

All of these things started moving forward immediately after 9/11 under the command of Republican George Walker Bush and has continued under Democrat Barack Hussein Obama.

Some of these things took place out of the supposed necessity of security over safety and others for the supposed betterment of the people.

Now nearly a decade after most of this has taken place, the people have said enough. The elections showed that the people do not like Obama's definition of change.

There are groups planning on refusing TSA orders to go through the backscatter x ray machines and refuse to allow them to touch their junk.

They understand that the TSA is threatening to send them to jail or assess an $11,000.00 fine, but they plan on standing up for their rights come Wednesday November 23rd once of the busiest times of the year for airports.

The TSA response was that if you don't want you or your children to go through x-rays or be groped by one of our fine employees (TSA WORKER ARRESTED FOR CHILD PORN), then you can find another way to get to grandmas house for Thanksgiving or any other holiday.

Read this article about TSA, "The TSA: America's Real Child Pornography/Molestation Machine."

In the mean time, I choose not to fly, I can get where I need to go via other non invasive means or not go at all then to endure such humiliation and degradation. Where would the airlines be if people stopped showing up?

But while you are boycotting the TSA, be sure to tell your newly elected member of congress that you have had enough and that you want a common sense approach done for security. Their are much more effective ways to find potential terrorists than to groping old women in wheel chairs, men wearing loose clothes or children.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:18 (KJV)

URGENT: Food Safety Vote Next Week

Quote of the Day: "Given sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine." -- Woody Page, Denver sports columnist

S. 510 will make your food more expensive and less safe. It will drive many small farms out of business. The leaders of the "lame duck" Congress want to pass this falsely named "food safety" bill NEXT WEEK, but . . .

They'll need 60 votes to break Sen. Coburn's "hold" on the bill.

That means we can defeat S.510 with just 40 votes, but we must apply the pressure now!

Please send a letter right now telling your Senators to oppose S. 510.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

S.510 will crush family farms and small businesses with excessive regulations - even though they were NOT the source of recent food safety problems.

S.510 also violates the Fourth Amendment by allowing the FDA to invade and search farms and food producers without court permission.

If you think the FDA will use this new power responsibly, think again. David Gumpert reports that the FDA shut down two raw-milk cheese-makers for the presence of the pathogen listeria, even though . . .

* Nobody got sick
* The FDA almost never shuts down companies for the mere presence of pathogens - even when people DO get sick
* Companies have previously been allowed to clean things up, rather than shut down.

If the FDA is starting to behave like this now, just imagine how abusive it will be under S.510?

Finally, it must be stressed that big agribusiness has been the source of most recent food safety problems. S.510 will make this problem worse by burdening small producers, and driving them out of business. This will make our food supply more centralized, less diverse, and more dangerous.

Please STOP S.510. This Congress must NOT pass any food safety bill. Remember, the voters have repudiated this Congress, and it's heavy handed ways.

You can send your letter through DownsizeDC's Educate the Powerful System.

Remember, Congress DOES read your letters. They DO have an impact. The more letters they receive, the more we're likely to succeed.

So please forward this, share on your social networks, and retweet this message:!/DDCDispatch

And thank you for being a DC Downsizer!

A Vision Begins With Prayer

A Vision Begins With Prayer

Nehemiah 1:1-2:18

A vision begins as a concern
A vision does not necessarily require immediate action
So what should you do in the meantime to keep your dream alive?
Let’s look at Nehemiah 1: 1-11

When Nehemiah heard about the condition of Jerusalem, there was nothing he could physically do to remedy the situation. It seemed as if he was in the wrong place, with the wrong job, working for the wrong guy.

But Nehemiah was not inactive. The four months between hearing about the condition of the walls and finally being able to do something about it was a productive time for Nehemiah.

Nehemiah did two things to prepare for the time when God would lead Him to pursue his vision.

I. He prayed – Prayer is critical to vision development. Why? Because we see what we are looking for, and often miss what we don’t expect to see.

A. Prayer keeps us looking.
B. It keeps our eyes and our hearts in the expectant mode.
C. When God begins to move, we are only going to see it if we are ready and watching.
D. Notice that Nehemiah did not pray for God to rebuild the wall.
E. He prayed for an opportunity to go rebuild it himself.
F. That is the difference between a dreamer and a visionary.
G. Dreamers dream about things being different.
H. Visionaries envision themselves making a difference.
I. Dreamers think about how nice it would be for something to be done.
J. Visionaries look for an opportunity to do something.

II. He planned – Nehemiah thought about what would be needed to accomplish this vision (or at least get started).
A. When God has given us a vision, we need to go ahead and start developing a plan.
B. Assuming you had the resources, what would you do?
C. Assuming you had the time, what would you do first?
D. Nehemiah laid out steps of how to pursue this vision.
E. He made sure that if he got an opportunity to present his vision to the king, he was ready.
Pray for opportunities and plan as if you expect God to answer your prayers.

The problem is that many of us fail to pray and fail to plan.
As we pray about and plan for the vision, it seems overwhelming and impossible. When God puts something on our hearts, it always seems out of reach (because it is). God ordained visions are always too big for us to handle.

There are always more questions than answers and more obstacles than solutions.

Nehemiah no doubt felt like he was in the wrong place doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. But God knew what He was doing. He had Nehemiah in the right place doing the right thing at the right time.
God had given Nehemiah a place among the palace servants. Then he maneuvered him through the ranks of influential Persian officials so he would be noticed for his integrity and trustworthiness. Eventually he was recommended to the king and appointed to the position of cupbearer.

On the surface it might have appeared that God was moving Nehemiah in a direction that would make it impossible to accomplish this dream. But actually, just the opposite was true. God gave Nehemiah a job and a relationship that gave him an inside track to the king. Like a master strategist, God was working behind the scenes putting everything in position.

III. God is using your circumstances to position and prepare you to accomplish His vision for your life.
A. Just as this was true for Nehemiah, it’s also true in your life.
B. This is easy to see when we are looking back, but it always takes faith when looking ahead.
C. Often we can not see any tangible connection between our circumstances and the vision God has given us. Even though it may not make sense to us on the surface, rest assured that God is working behind the scenes to position everything needed to accomplish the vision He has given.

Vote for the Constitution on Election Day

The candidates are starting to get it. I have heard so many political ads that speak about the Constitution. My hope and prayer is that this is not just campaign rhetoric and these people will actually stick to their word.

RINO's and Liberal Democrats could care less about the Constitution, they have proved that over the last 20 years. But things need to change and Americans want it done right.

Americans do not want health care mandates, they want access to health care without being forced to a system that is more expensive and provides less service and they certainly do not want a panel deciding on what care is best for them based on all their medical history that is in a national database. They want to make that decision with their doctors and family members.

Americans are tired of the back and forth between Republicans and Democrats who look nearly identical in all they do when it comes to overspending and government control of our liberties.

If you haven't considered members of the Constitution Party, you may want to. They have a platform that nearly anyone who calls themselves a member of the Tea Party would be proud.

Get out there and vote but stop putting up with the same incumbents on both sides who refuse to stand up for you, their constituents, the one they are supposed to represent but refuse to do so.

Remember voting for the lessor of two evils is still voting for evil.

Keep an eye on those that do get elected. Make sure that they are doing their jobs of representation and if not, VOTE THEM OUT or RUN Against them.

Americans will speak loud and clear to the RINOS and Obama Democrats tomorrow. Lets hope the message gets through.

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. Luke 6:28 (KJV)

Please Condemn this Hypocrisy in Congress

Downsize DC President Jim Babka will be speaking in Williamsport, PA this Saturday. Details below the signature.

Have you heard about the "robo-signers" scandal in the mortgage industry? Mortgage company employees have signed foreclosure-related affidavits without knowing if they were true.

Professor Donald J. Boudreaux draws a parallel to Congress not reading the bills they pass.

The politicians are screaming and waving their hands about the "robo-signers" in the mortgage industry, but, hypocrites that they are, they refuse to do anything about their own "robo-legislating."

Please condemn this hypocrisy. Please inform Congress of this parallel and tell them to introduce and pass the Read the Bills Act.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

Professor Donald J. Boudreaux compares the alleged "robo-signers" of mortgage-foreclosure documents to . . . YOU!

Robo-signers are "posers who sign and give life to legal documents without even reading the contents of these documents."

Whereas, Congress votes "to give life to legislation without even reading the contents of the legislation."

According to, the House has passed 346 bills and the Senate 183 bills so far in 2010. The average bill length is 44 pages.

Did you read any of them? Or are you a "robo-legislator?"

We the people are are always impacted - and often hurt - by your legislation. Do us the decency of at least knowing what you're voting for. Take the bills you're considering as seriously as if you were signing a foreclosure document on someone's house.

You can send your letter using's Educate the Powerful System.

Also, see the bills that Congress passed in September on our blog.

And we invite you to add your blog or website to the Read the Bills Act Coalition. You will spread the word about RTBA, and in return your site will be listed on our main page and be mentioned in a Dispatch like this. Learn more and join here.

Unfunded Mandates: Three Things No One Else Is Telling You

Quote of the Day: "Things in our country run in spite of the government, not by the aid of it." -- Will Rogers (1879-1935) American humorist

Unelected federal bureaucrats are forcing New York City to spend $27 million to replace their street signs. Our bureaucratic overlords maintain that streets signs must contain both upper and lower case letters, instead of just capital letters! Do you feel grateful that you're being protected from upper case streets signs?

This dictatorial mandate comes from the Federal Highway Administration, and applies to every community in America, not just New York City.

But don't blame this outrage on the busy-body Democrats. This isn't an Obama directive. The rule was actually promulgated back in 2003 -- during the Bush Administration.

Regardless of which party rules, very little is done to stop unfunded mandates or bureaucratic law-making. The problem is, Republicans have been promising to get rid of unfunded mandates since their so-called "Contract With America" way back in 1994!

The GOP controlled Congress and the White House for 6 years, but did exactly nothing to honor their promise.

This shows why we must remain committed to principles, not parties or politicians.

Now, here is what can be done about unfunded mandates, and you'll only read these next two ideas HERE, in the Downsizer-Dispatch.

First, New York City could tell the feds to, "Go to hell." City officials swore an oath to the Constitution too. They've read the highest law in the land. They know this is wrong.

That would be called, "nullification." To help promote this idea, Downsize DC President Jim Babka spoke at the Nullify Now! Conference in Orlando on October 10. There will also be two other opportunities to see (and meet) him this weekend. You can see the details here.

Second, if a single sitting GOP member of Congress was serious about fixing unfunded mandates imposed by un-elected bureaucrats, then he or she could sponsor's Write the Laws Act.

There are candidates who've pledged to do this, and you can read their names here.

But no incumbent member of Congress has yet stepped forward to introduce this powerful bill which would restore ALL legislative power to the House and Senate, and deny any legislative power to the Executive Branch, just as the Founders intended.

The Republicans tell us they believe in small government and the Constitution, but if that were really true they would introduce this bill.

Allowing bureaucrats to issue dictates that have the force of law amounts to legislation without representation. How un-Constitutional is that? How un-American? How hypocritical, especially for GOP members?

Please send a letter demanding that your representatives introduce and support the Write the Laws Act.

You may borrow from or copy this letter . . .

The FHWA is requiring street signs nationwide be replaced so that, for example, MAIN ST becomes Main St. Fonts must also be standardized. This underscores the need for the WTLA . . .

* This FHWA dictate is an unfunded mandate imposed by unelected bureaucrats on cash-strapped local governments, which means
* My state and local governments must pay for these changes by taxing me, even though we weren't represented in this ruling

I demand you do two things:

* Repeal the FHWA street sign requirement and return all powers of traffic control and safety to the states, exactly as the Tenth Amendment requires
* Introduce the Write the Laws Act so that Congress alone will write our laws and regulations, as the Constitution also requires

If you claim you want smaller, less-intrusive, common-sense government, then show me you really mean it by introducing DownsizeDC's Write the Laws Act.

You can send your letter using's Educate the Powerful System.

Will the National Healthcare Database be Repealed with ObamaCare?

Most Liberals and Conservatives agree, Obamacare sucks, will cost too much money and is not what America needs. The Republicans say they will get ObamaCare Repealed?

Let's humor ourselves for a moment and say the Republicans keep their campaign promises and are successful at repealing ObamaCare.

Many Americans don't even know about the National HealthCare Database that was passed with Obama's job creation stimulus package that has also proved to be a waste of taxpayer dollars.

The National HealthCare Database requires all medical providers to input all patient data into the massive database beast by 2014.

That means all information about you from birth to death will be included in this database.

Of course, most people know by now that their is no such thing as a secure database. has been compiling data breaches since 2005 the same year that Real ID was passed and as of today 510,584,595 RECORDS BREACHED from 1,767 DATA BREACHES made public since 2005. These are only the breaches that were made public! God only knows how many went unreported. Places that were breached include, banks, schools, colleges, DMV's, healthcare facilities, DOD, Pentagon, congressional computers, Veterans Hospitals and the like.

Health records have always been something Americans have believed they had the right to keep private. We supposedly have laws that protect them.

We even have that little document called the US Constitution. Here is the Fourth Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

There may be things in your medical history you don't care that anyone knows, there may be some embarrassing medical history. Or you may just think its no ones business except you and your doctor and perhaps your loved ones.

If you don't want your medical history to be in the database, their is no opt out option, the only option you have is to not go to the doctor, dentist, optometrist or any other healthcare provider. I suppose if enough Americans did that and died as a result it would help reduce the costs of Obamacare.

We all know that government bureaucrats and not doctors will be looking at our health history and determining what care we will or will not be getting under ObamaCare.

If Obamacare is repealed then so should the National healthcare database.

Be sure to make this an issue with those running for office before you vote in November. REPEAL National HealthCare Database with ObamaCare.

Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice. Psalms 63:7 (KJV)

'Pledge to America' - Despicable GOP Ruse

By Devvy
September 23, 2010

The much anticipated 'Pledge to America' was released today amid what can only be called high political theater pandering to desperate Americans.

What despicable "leaders" like House Majority Leader John Boehner (who voted to kill millions of jobs) handed the GOP faithful during their big big photo op is nothing more than clever word smithing. A marketing pitch for the mid-term pretend elections (vote fraud decides who gets elected). That so called pledge is nothing more than a repeat of the same deception pulled by Newt Gingrich and the Contract With America. I'm an old war dog with a long memory. For those of you who might not remember, let's take a walk back into history. Read full article Here ...

URGENT: DISCLOSE Act Vote Likely Today

The Senate will likely vote on the DISCLOSE Act again TODAY. That's why we're sending this message earlier than normal. It's urgent that you act quickly.

Incumbents banded together in 2002 to make it effectively a crime, punishable by jail, for a non-profit group like to broadcast issue ads during the final days of an election campaign.

The Supreme Court fixed this problem earlier this year, getting something right for a change. In the Citizens United case they restored the right of non-profit corporations like, Inc., to broadcast issue ads during elections.

The name of the case fits. Non-wealthy CITIZENS are UNITED in organizations: They band together using their First Amendment rights of association and press to publish and broadcast their opinions. Bad laws have forced we citizens into a legal cul de sac, where WE NEED CORPORATIONS LIKE CITIZENS UNITED AND DOWNSIZE DC TO HELP US ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF BEING HEARD. But . . .

In this year when most Americans want to fire Congress, the incumbent politicians are making a last ditch effort to protect incumbency -- by chilling dissent. Here's what's at stake . . .

Because is un-willing to expose its list of supporters (your name) to the Federal Election Commission we would be PROHIBITED from running ads exposing a candidate's record.

We explain, in greater detail, how this law would affect the groups you love most at the web page opposing the anti-First Amendment DISCLOSE Act.

To create artificial demand for this terrible bill, numerous politicians, including the President, have lied about the Citizens United decision. It's time to call them on it -- literally.

First, send them a letter RIGHT NOW. Here's what I wrote using's Educate the Powerful System:

There has been a massive disinformation campaign designed to push through this anti-First Amendment bill.

* Some Representatives and Senators have said that the Citizens United ruling overturned 100 years of law, when it fact it merely overturned a 20-year old decision.

* Many of these same incumbent politicians claimed that now major corporations, like BP, would be able to buy our elections (one of your members even said bribery was now legal!).

* Which is richly ironic, because . . .

a) The DISCLOSE Act only restricts regular-sized non-profits while exempting behemoths like the NRA and AARP, and . . .
b) Major commercial corporations have always held tremendous sway over our government, and any pretense that they don't insults my intelligence.

And I'm in on the secret.

If you vote for this bill then it means you want to disenfranchise the little guy for the benfit of yourself and big special interests.

There's a better alternative. As James Madison said Federalist No.10, the best way to counter the influence of tremendous wealth, and the concentrated benefits that big corporations seek, is to foster the freedom for many voices to join the political fray. That's why the First Amendment reads, "Congress shall make no law," that even "abridges" (remotely infringes) on my rights of association and expression -- NO LAW.

I emphatically urge you to work and vote for a filibuster, and failing that, to work as hard as you can to defeat the DISCLOSE Act.

Second, because the vote is occurring today, PLEASE ALSO CALL YOUR SENATORS ON THE PHONE. Their numbers are provided on the same page where you send your letter to Congress, if you're logged-in to your account.

Remember to tell them you're a constituent of theirs, and to be brief, polite, but forceful.

Please pass this message on to others, removing the information below my signature so no one accidentally unsubscribes you. Also, if you have a blog, please repost this information.

Choose Freedom: Ignore DC

by Michael Boldin

There’s plenty of federal holidays for Americans to celebrate. On July 4th, there’s independence from King George’s England. On the first Monday in September, a holiday was dedicated to the “social and economic achievements of American workers.” Other days throughout the year celebrate autumn harvest, soldiers who died in the civil war and even a person who sailed to this continent nearly three centuries before the country was “founded.”

When there’s no federally-sanctioned holiday to call upon, protesters and activists across the political spectrum often pick “important” dates to schedule events to bring attention to their cause. We’ve seen protests on Tax Day, Independence Day, May Day, Earth Day, and more. And, in the past few weeks we saw great importance placed on days that doesn’t even have a letter in their name, 8/28 and 9/12.

But nowhere to be found on these great lists of “federal holidays” or “protest days” is a celebration of the document that defined the principles of liberty that this country was supposedly founded upon – the Constitution.

The Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787, and every year that date passes by with hardly a sound. Sure, now that it’s considered a day of “federal observance” you’ll find government schools around the country including it in their lesson plans. But these discussions generally focus on “Constitution Trivia” instead of what’s really important. While it may be good to educate our young on how many years a Senator serves, or how Supreme Court justices are appointed, it’s not enough. Seriously lacking in the public discourse is the actual purpose of the Constitution – its underlying principles.

When the Constitution was being considered for ratification, there was strong opposition from famous American figures that included George Mason and Patrick Henry. One major reason for this was a fear of too much power. The founding generation spent their lives toiling under a tyranny – a government without limits. But, when the Constitution was written, it was done to codify in law that the powers of government would be limited to those which had been delegated to it – and nothing more.

The entire system was created under the principle of popular sovereignty – that ‘We the People of the Several States’ created the government, and all powers not delegated to it, were retained. But that’s not something you’re likely to hear from politicians in Washington DC, political pundits, schools, or just about anywhere else. It’s generally not in their interest, either.

If politicians and their backers were promoting such crazy ideas as “originalism” and “limited government” they’d never be able to convince you that they have the power to tell you what kind of health care plan you’ll be getting, how big your toilet can be, what kind of plants you’re allowed to grow, where you’re allowed to exercise your “right” to free speech, whom you can buy and sell from, and even when you must send your children to die for them.

Throughout history, even kings and queens have often failed to survive such acts of hubris; but, in “free” America, the major parties that produce all the presidents continue to receive approval through tens of millions of votes. And where has that gotten people?

Well, let’s take a look at some major issues.

  • If you were opposed to war in the Bush administration, you’ve still got the same wars and threats of wars under Obama.
  • If you were opposed to national health care under Clinton, you got a massive expansion of government health care under George Bush, which laid the groundwork for an even bigger expansion under Obama.
  • If you didn’t like the federal government passing the Patriot Act without even reading it, you’re still getting the same (or worse) failure to read legislation today.
  • On the other hand, if you liked the Bush bailouts, you’ve gotta love the ones that Obama has given you!

No matter what side of the political aisle you sit on, the federal government is not your friend. It’s not a friend to the Constitution, and it’s certainly no friend to your liberty. For years and years…and years, people have yelled “vote the bums out!” “Call Congress now!” “March on DC!” But, in the long run, little to none of this actually works.

If you oppose this national health care plan, they’ll give you that one. If you oppose one war, you’ll get another one. If you oppose today’s bailout, they’ll find a different one tomorrow. Decade in and decade out, the government keeps growing, and your liberty keeps shrinking. And it doesn’t matter if the person in charge is named Obama, or Bush, or Reagan, or Clinton.

The bottom line? Looking to the federal government – whether it’s though elections, or protests, or lawsuits, or rallies – is a failed strategy. So how about trying something new?

People around the country are recognizing that there is a different path, and one that has a chance of working on a big scale, too. Already nearly a dozen states have passed 10th amendment resolutions reaffirming the proper role of government under the Constitution. 25 states have stopped the real id act dead in its tracks in most of the country. 8 states have passed firearms freedom acts – to nullify some federal gun laws and regulations in their state. 5 states have already passed laws to nullify federal health care mandates – with more on the way. And, fourteen states now have medical marijuana laws in direct opposition to federal laws..

In Jeffersonian-speak, this all falls under the banner of “nullification.” When a state ‘nullifies’ a federal law, it is proclaiming that the law in question is void and inoperative, or ‘non-effective,’ within the boundaries of that state; or, in other words, not a law as far as that state is concerned.

While some in government and the media would like to paint this essential tool for resisting federal tyranny as solely aligned with the South in the War Between the States – and nothing more, they’re missing some essential history. It’s been used in efforts to advance free speech, help runaway slaves, resist high taxes and more.

And recently, the Bush-Era Real ID Act is now virtually dead in the water, not due to elections or rallies, or calls to Congress – but instead, due to state-level resistance. In the past three-plus years, approximately two dozen states simply refused to implement the law. The result? The law is still on the books in Congress. It’s never been overturned by a federal court. But yet – in most of the country – it’s virtually null and void.

Even better, this is no single-issue movement. Legislators in over 20 states are considering legislation to nullify some federal gun laws, and another 20 are looking at ways to nullify national health care. 15 states are weighing legislation or ballot initiatives that could turn them into medical marijuana states by next year, and activists in over a dozen states have been pushing for legislation that would require their governors to bring national guard troops home from Iraq and elsewhere. On top of it, a national tour has been launched in support of these efforts – something that may have been impossible just a few years ago

Issue by issue, law by law, the best way to change the federal government is by refusing to comply with it on a state and individual level. Withdrawing our consent for unconstitutional “laws,” acts, regulations….and mandates…has a much better effect than begging or demanding that DC limit its own power.

Over the years, wise men and women warned us that the Constitution would never enforce itself. I believe it’s time for people to recognize this as fact, and bring that enforcement closer to home.

Whether you’re on the left, or on the right, or even somewhere in the middle, the path to freedom, the path to your political goals lies not in Washington D.C. Instead, it lies in Madison, and Jefferson (City)…and other state capitols around the country.

So this Constitution Day take a new pledge. Ignore and nullify the federal government. When it refuses to follow the Constitution year in and year out, it becomes as worthless as it is dangerous.
