The fight is still on in NC in PA and other states as well. Minnesota has also passed anti Real ID legislation.

To Date a total of 29 states have either introduced or passed legislation to oppose the Real ID / National ID Card / Enhanced Drivers' License or whatever else they want to call it.

It just goes to show that there is hope when people stand up and let their voices be heard in their state legislatures.

So far 21 states have reiterated their right as a sovereign state per the Untied States Constitution and that they can reject any and all federal regulations as they see fit.

It seems strange that they would do this but not really. The US government is flat broke, many states are broke as well. The only reason most states comply with the federal government is because they use the leverage of money to get them to comply. Supply the money and the states bend to their will.

Well the federal government's well is drying up and the states will not bend to their will without that cash. The states cannot afford to continue the unfunded federal mandates and are now flexing the muscle of authority given to them by our Constitution.

In my last post Rep Jim Guest introduced a great deal of legislation to protect the citizens of Missouri and many other states like New Hampshire say their citizens will not be held under Marshall law if the Federal Government decides they need to do such a thing.

Word on the street is that Texas is now doing the same thing. I am rather surprised they were not the first since they are the only state that has ever been their own sovereign republic.

If this is something you support, then I say take action now. Contact your state reps and ask them to the same.
